Are you mad or not? Coach Prime, also known as Deion Sanders, has recently been receiving a lot of hate for his change from coaching at Jackson State University to transferring to the Colorado Buffaloes and how he is handling the transition between the two teams. The criticism towards Coach Prime stems from the disappointment and confusion among fans and supporters who had high hopes for his tenure at Jackson State University. Many are questioning his loyalty to the program and his ability to transition to a new team like the Colorado Buffaloes. However, people need to remember that Deion always wanted to coach at a Power 5 school, so when given the opportunity, he took it with the utmost gratitude and took the position.
As for what people are mad at, they are upset that Deion is bringing the “HBCU culture” to the Colorado Buffaloes. Unfortunately, they failed to realize that he came from an HBCU and brought some of his players from Jackson State University. Furthermore, this showcases his commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion within the college football community. By infusing the “HBCU culture” into the Colorado Buffaloes, Deion is bridging the gap between different football programs while providing a unique and enriching experience for his players and the entire team. Personally, if he comes from an HBCU background, bringing it to where he is working isn’t wrong. Introducing it to Colorado isn’t bad; it just shows the players where he came from. But as far as I can see, he isn’t forcing the line dances, having zero and fifth quarters, and the whole tailgating experience at HBCUs, nor is he enforcing the culture done at HBCU colleges. So my question is, what are they mad for? He’s not forcing anything or making anybody do things they wouldn’t want to do. Nevertheless, let Deion be Deion, and let’s stop trying to find fault with everything, and let us still have our pride.
