We all know what the first Wednesday in February means, but also the long tradition and history behind it. This day is National Signing Day for all colligate athletes across the Nation. On February seventh, putting pen to paper many new talents were welcomed to the Jag family. It’s always a special day when an athlete signs their letter of intent to continue their dreams on the colligate level.
The Jaguar administration was able to bring in some key notable players who can add to the team morale and help get the program back on top where it belongs. Many raised concerns about the positions that would be brought in, but the Graves administration has everything to set this program up for future success. Everyone knows football starts up front in the trenches on the offensive and defensive line. Several offensive linemen signed to the Jags Wednesday morning To bring back that fast-paced offense that’s end zone ready.
Juco transfer offensive lineman, Christian Garcia, was an all-conference honorable mention In California, playing in the hardest JUCO conference before signing with the Jags. He brings his physicality and football IQ to the Bluff. Class of 2024, St. Thomas Aquinas Offensive Linemen signee, Bryan Wallace, is coming off a winning season with his previous team leaving as a state champion in Florida. Standing at six foot six and three hundred fifteen pounds, it’s no surprise his stature is an eye-catcher, along with his motor on the field against opponents to match it. The “Dog Day defense” was always a crucial part of the Jags’ play style, adding numerous playmakers to the roster, including Southern Methodist University defensive lineman transfer Stephon Wright. A steal for the jags program and pocket hunting machine, standing at six foot five and two hundred eighty-five pounds.
Another headhunter and explosive playmaker added to the defense but also has a familiar face is College of the Desert transfer linebacker Greyson LaFleur, son of previous Jaguar athletic director Greg Lefleur, who served from 2005 to 2011. Recruiting is never fully done. There’s always more talent to find and new ways to keep elevating the program, Jag nation looks forward to seeing this new era.
