The Office of Planning and Institutional Research (PAIR) is conducting online “Evaluation of Faculty by Student”. Consistent with the practices in higher education, the University will utilize online resources to collect and analyze data that relate to performance goals. In order to ensure data integrity, representative samples of data will be maintained in hard copy. Also, the usefulness of the data will depend upon whether representative samples (high response rates) of data are collected. Urge students in each of your classes to participate in the “Evaluation of Faculty by Student”. A high response rate would lead to more useful data by allowing for item analysis for each course.
Students may gain access for evaluation of each of his/her professors (course) online in one session. The student should go to the SUBR web page (http://www.subr.edu/). and follow the instructions described below. The access period for this activity is April 10 through April 30, 2003.

2. Click on “Current Students”,
3. Click on “Online Spring 2003 Faculty Evaluations”; and

The data will be stored on a server in the Office of Planning and Institutional Research, and a staff persons in that office will have sole responsibility for analyzing data and maintaining data integrity. The system is set up to ensure that a student is able to complete only one form for each course being evaluated, and only students enrolled in a course can evaluate the instructor.
