Candidates for Governor of the State of Louisiana will hold a forum on the Southern University campus on Wednesday, April 30 at the SU College of Engineering Atrium at 2 p.m. The event is sponsored by the SU Chancellor’s Office and the Center for Energy and Environmental Studies. JAG-A-THON ATHLETIC FUND RAISER
The SU Department of Athletics is holding its annual Jag-a-Thon fundraiser on Saturday, April 26 from 3 to 6 p.m., on Cox Cable Channel 38. The Jag-a-thon raised money for SU’s 18 fully certified NCAA intercollegiate programs (8 men & 10 women’s), academic enhancement and facilities improvements for more than 350 student athletes at SU. NATIONAL ALCOHOL SCREENING DAY
The University Counseling Center (UCC) will host the 2003 National Alcohol Screening Day Program on Wednesday, April 30. SU SCHOOL OF NURSING ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
The School of Nursing will be accepting applications for the fall 2003 semester. The deadline is May 1, 2003. All students must meet the following criteria: have a 2.6 grade point average or above, submission of ACT/SAT scores, and completion of all courses listed in the first three semesters of the nursing curriculum plan with a minimum grade of “C.”
SELF DEFENSE TRAINING

LSAT PREP COURSE
Jonathan Campbell is offering to help tutor any Southern University student serious about taking the LSAT in either June, October and February 2004. It will be in group format and the information disseminated will be formatted very similar to a well known prep course. A small fee will be assessed to help cover costs such as copying.
