A True Leader’s Profile:
- Non-compromising
- Able to lead without uncertainty
- Full of wisdom
- Strong will to serve
What will it take to get the job done? Will the true leader please stand up? In this day and time a career objective of leadership should read: To be able to go before and execute the direction of the people in the way our creator intended without having a compromising word. It should not read: To be able to gain financial stability while obtaining leadership skills at the expense of others.
There are so many leaders of the past and present that have taken on the responsibility of leading the people of this great nation down roads of uncertainty when it came to making hard decisions. Decisions that will have a great impact on so many lives should not rest in the hands of a starving man.
As we take a close look around our communities, we the people witness the decisions of our leaders, being good or bad ones, their decisions affect us all. A decision on certain viewpoints reflects the accountability of leadership. So, are you called to be a leader?
A true leader will never wait for disaster to happen. Instead, a true leader will anticipate disaster and take precautions before hand. He will never let his guard down. A true leader will implement a plan and take all measures to see that a plan is carried out to its fullest without swaying to the left or right.
“We’ve been warned there are evil people in this world. We’ve been warned so vividly, and we’ll be alert.” President George Bush said. “My administration has a job to do and we’re going to do it. We will rid the world of the evil-doers.”
Are these the words of a leader? There have been evil-doers in this world since the beginning of time. How do you rid the world of evil-doers? Why does it take disaster such as this to alert the people? A disaster after the fact! Does the shoe fit?
After listening to the news media, security measures at airports seem to have life threatening loopholes. Loopholes such as knives, and fake identification should have been taken care of in the planning for security. What happened to the enforcement of leadership here? Did it take the back seat? If so, what took the front seat?
The U.S. Supreme Court re-emphasized the importance of church-state separation in the public schools, removing prayer out of schools. The hard work and dedication of an atheist woman helped destroy the course of many lives, because of our so-called leaders.
Our wisdom of leadership should not derive from one person’s point of view, but from the point of view of everyone as a whole.
God has graced each and every one of us with different measures. Some have been graced with the measures of a true and strong leader and others as a true and strong follower. One is no more important that the other is. Which shoe do you fit?
