Are you always saying there is not enough time in the day? Are you always saying time went by quick? Are you constantly procrastinating and saying Yea, I’m going to do that assignment? Well here is the answer TIME MANAGEMENT! It helps you keep everything organized from class schedules, to important meetings, even to kickin’ it with your friends. Some things that can help you is buying a planner or personal organizer. Also, you can use a notebook, and make your own organizer. When we all approach graduation and it’s time for us to become apart of the working class, we will need to have some type of organization.
When we procrastinate we are just pushing our work to the side and saying “I’m going to do it.” Then what happens? It doesn’t end up getting done. Procrastination would not be in our vocabulary if we all had TIME MANAGEMENT but since a lot of people lack at this skill we constantly procrastinate.
There are 24 hours in a day, but if you’re not organizing those hours, it will seem as if there was only six hours in a day and it just passed you by. TIME MANAGEMENT is something that will cost nothing more than $10 and can be very valuable and helpful to the success of your career. Here are some tips to maximizing your TIME MANAGEMENT!
Number I Organize everything that is important to you; from the time that you plan on waking up to the time that you plan on going to sleep, from class schedules, to eating with friends, to even calling your family back home.
Number II Use the resources that you already have, such as the Internet. Many of the sites where you have an e-mail account has a Calendar built right in, and they have reminders that will alert you of the events that you have planned. The service is available why not maximize it.
Number III PRIORITIZE make a “to do” list. Do everything on the “to do” list first you will be happy in the end after you have done everything on that list. Also, remember to do things in small segments. Don’t say that you’re going to do a certain task the whole weekend. You’ll get burnt out trying to accomplish it. Also remember that the earlier you start and finish the project the happier you’ll be with it, and you can work out all the kinks.
