Southern University’s Baranco-Hill Student Health Center and School of Nursing will hold their second annual wellness fair on Tuesday, Sept. 30 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Smith-Brown Memorial Union.
According to clinic administrator and nurse practitioner for Baranco-Hill Student Health Center Shirley Wade, the event’s purpose is so the students can know about their wellness.
“A better knowledge of how to be healthy person is the goal,” said Wade.
Joining services from the wellness fair last semester will be a clinical breast exams and gambling prevention programs.
Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer organization will be providing the breast exams.
According to Wade, while the event is for the students anyone is welcome to come.
