“It was my understanding that the SGA adviser is supposed to provide the overall leadership for this group of students. Students will not always have the answers, neither will they always “do the right thing”. Sometimes they need a little advisement, hence, the need for an advisor. What happen to the University’s input and involvement with the SGA? What happened to the parliamentary workshops? Are the students (SGA President) really responsible for checking another students academic eligibility?”

“Mr. President, your action is commendable. I don’t understand Mr. Blake’s thinking at all. I talked to you and Miss Southern at Alumni breakfast in Memphis. I responded to your support of St. Jude. I have heard from them although I have for years been a contributor. The invitation to former SGA presidents to return to O Southern, Dear Southern did not arrive. I have kept myself informed by receiving publications and communicating with Chancellor Ambrose. Again, thanks for being there and standing tall as a SON OF O SOUTHERN, DEAR SOUTHERN!!!!!
Leo Galloway, Class of 1950 & former SGA President
