Southern University is keeping its word of new beginnings with the planned launch of its new website at http://subr.aromaticlogic.com on February 24, 2011. The website can now be viewed to gain feedback for the official launch.
An email was sent to students and Southern personnel announcing the Beta site until the final version is launched.
The user friendly site has greatly been improved with this website that displays a more twenty first century Southern University.
Prospective students can readily see many positive stories, and other events that display the Southern experience. They can also apply, and alumni or supporters of Southern University can make a donation to the historical institution.
Financial aid rules and regulations are greatly described to help students decide what their options are as well as what direction they should take with trying to finance their higher education.
The academic calendar can be viewed by weeks, months or years.
A user can fully explore the campus, student’s policy, and other important information.
Key differences are the connections to access Southern University’s networking websites, upcoming events, student achievement and activity.
Each icon provides a drop down box with a list of different items that relates to that icon. Then more links are provided to gain access.
All the links are not fully working yet because of the constant updates that will be coming until the official launch.
Some links refer users back to the old website because the beta website not being fully completed.
Prospective students will now have an easier time applying or seeing the qualifications required to gain acceptance to the University.
Communication between the University and students should run very smooth with all the contact information provided.
Supporters can easily find ways to donate money either on the main news feed or on the bottom on the page. Supporters can even decide where they wish their donations to fund.
The new website truly allows students to take their education into their own hands instead of relying on personnel to guide them through their college experience.
It also presents Southern University as a research institution that participates in world class research that continues this campus’s historical presence.
The interaction interphase is full of flash and color to keep users interested as well. Videos and photos are weaved in to provide a more exciting experience as well.
The website was designed by hometown Covalent Logic Firm, and Southern University definitely owe them a big thank you because this website gives the proper representation of the University.
With some more upgrades to this website the Jaguar nation will have one more positive thing to be proud of about the university. By embracing new innovations, and making it better has always been apart of the Southern University history this website should be no different.
