It is Week 11, and the NFL season has flown by. The NFL regular season has been subpar as far as gameplay and camaraderie, but the playoffs always make up for it. Teams are now getting hungrier and eager to get to the end of the season healthy to gear up for the postseason. Some teams in the NFC, such as San Fransico, Detroit, and Philadelphia, have come out the gate strong. The same can be said about the AFC frontrunners, such as Kansas City, Miami, and Baltimore, all sitting at 6 or 7 wins. However, the sleeper teams are the ones to watch out for, the teams that started the season off slow but are becoming consistent and stacking up wins towards the end of the season like Houston, Pittsburgh, and Minnesota just to name a few. Those will likely be your Wild Card teams, but it is proven every year that you can’t sleep on Wild Card teams because they have nothing to lose, more importantly, records no longer matter come Playoff time. However, I believe the heavy hitters will reside back deep into the playoffs again this year, such as Philadelphia & Kansas City, and potentially will meet in the Super Bowl again. The competition that Kansas City always runs into is Buffalo, however, Buffalo does not look like a threat to them like they have been the past few years. So, I think their biggest competition will be Miami, but Miami has yet to beat an above .500 team sitting at 6-3. In the NFC, crazier things have happened within the Wild Card rounds, and not all the top seeds come out on top, so the sleeper picks San Fransisco, Detroit, Dallas, and Minnesota all will be very competitive to take Philly off the NFC pedestal. However, after all the excitement of these games and the questionable calls, I believe we will see Philly and Kansas City in a Super Bowl rematch, barring any major injuries.
