There’s 104 days of summer vacation, and school comes along just to end it, so the annual problem of our generation is finding a good way to… well, you know the rest.
Every time summer comes around, the conversation of what we plan on doing is all the rage. An internship perhaps? Or are you chilling at home? Maybe you’ll be working over the summer to save for next semester. Maybe you’ll be hanging out the window of a Nissan Altima. Who knows, maybe you’ll be doing all three simultaneously.
Personally, my summer will consist of growth, stacking bread, and taking much-needed relaxation. Being a part of various organizations and keeping up with the rigorous demands of a college workload can really take a toll on a person. So, if you’re reading this, we made it out alive TOGETHER, so let’s thank God for that. But if you don’t know what to do for your vacation, allow me to lend a few suggestions.
One option for a summer vacation is to visit a new destination. Whether you prefer the beach or the mountains, there are countless places to explore and discover. Another option for a summer vacation is to take a road trip. A road trip can be a great way to see multiple destinations in a single trip. If you’re looking for a more laid-back vacation, you might consider a staycation. A staycation involves taking time off work or school and enjoying the local attractions in your area. You can visit museums, try new restaurants, or take day trips to nearby cities or towns. You can also take up summer classes or do some community service by volunteering at your local shelters.
To sum it up, there are many ways to make this summer great, and however you celebrate yours, make sure you’re fulfilling your personal goals. Get that body right! Go visit the destination you’ve always dreamed of. Explore the world and its endless possibilities. Most importantly, hang out the window of that Altima! You got this. I believe in you.
