7 Degrees just got hotter as the Junior and Senior class wakes up the campus with their Miss Thinker Than a Snicker and Mr.King size pageant. Eight lovely contestants worked all month to show their strut, talents and confidence to determine if they are fit for the crown.
On Thursday March 19th the Junior and Senior class cabinet hosted the annual Miss Thicker Than a Snicker pageant while also welcoming back the Mr.King Size pageant. Before the pageant began, students and family members started to fill up the event center with their supporting posters and high energy for these contestants.
Four lovely ladies and four divine men started their opening act by performing a group number showing off precision and poise as they introduced themselves to the judges and audience. Given the New York inspired theme of “the campus that never sleeps”, contestants lit up the room with their New York’s best. In the first round, contestants warm up the crowd with their fashion pieces that represent their big city swag and style.
During the second round, these ladies and gentlemen walked the stage exquisitely and fiercely with their beach wear showing the plus size audience that they “do not have to be the “perfect size” to do any pageant while giving them the hope and “chance to come out of their shell” spoken from our Men’s Federation Business manger Kellen Anthony.
When there’s beauty there is also brains and that is exactly what these eight contestants proved this night by showing us their future careers. Participants beautifully showcased multiple careers from farmers, teachers, lawyers and doctors in their formal attire.
As competitors got ready for the talents portion, DJ Neff put the crowd on their feet with new hits and line dances. This intermission was not just for crowd engagement but also to prepare the audience for the participants’ amazing talents. The audience may have been shocked by all of the astonishing talents but Demi Anderson who is currently the Junior class business manager stated she was “not shocked at all” and she is very proud that they were able to bring out the “good energy that was bottled up during practice”. During the previous rounds, contestants revealed to the audience about who they were but their talents declared why they deserved that crown. Taking the stage, these participants showed their passion through dancing, singing, poetry and even playing the violin. Each performance demonstrated “confidence, embodiment and an entertaining presence” said Aliyah Beal who is currently the 2025-2026 Junior class president, which continuously got the whole crowd on their feet.
As the pageant came to an end, our 2025-2026 Miss Thicker Than a Snicker Aryanna Hollingsworth took her final walk in reign with grace and a legacy left to fill.
Competitors showing their Empire State elegance, walked down the aisle and made their way to the stage one last time to answer a heartfelt question from the judges that determined their future reign.
Ms.Beal also stated that she wanted this night to be filled with “inclusivity, confidence and understanding of one another” which KyJameonne Bingham and Alexis Pines gracefully did by winning the Mr.King Size and Miss Thicker Than a Snicker Pageant title sending out a message that size is just an image and the real beauty comes within.
