The John B.Cade Library will be extending their hours during the week of midterms, Oct.18-21. These hours will be extended to 2 a.m. for these four days only.
The library’sregular hours for Monday through Thursday are from 7:30 a.m. to midnight.
“I feel goodabout the extended hours because I’m in a lot of organizations and studentsthat are involved in a lot of activities will have more time to study,” saidDemeriese Valier, a junior majoring in music from Baldwin.
Every facilityof the library will be opened for late night, including the group study areason the first and second floor and the Learning Resource Center computer lab onthe second floor.
“We are hereto service the students, by extending the hours to help them pass their tests,”said Dean Perry, Dean of Libraries. There will be supervisors available during the additional time.
Fred Williams,a senior marketing major from Tennessee feels this is a good thing.
“Some peoplethat have jobs don’t get off until 12 a.m.,” he said.
