For those students who requirecaffeine to get their day started, the java gods have spoken. Mocha, cinnamonand vanilla aromas now refresh the Southern University Law Center at CC’sCoffee House.
CC’s Coffee House was born in NewOrleans and is a division of Louisiana’s legendary Community CoffeeCompany. Founded in 1919 and basedin Baton Rouge, Community Coffee is the largest family-owned retail coffeebrand in America. The early birds of the Southern University student body areglad to have CC’s Coffee as part of their breakfast option.
“It’s definitely beneficial to thestudents here,” said Scotty Chabert, a law student.
“The coffee shop is a good additionto the campus and will make money.”
CC’s offers many favorites to delight the masses. The espresso classics include chailattes, steamed milk and hot chocolate. The frozen favorites include smoothies with over seven flavors to choosefrom, and the iced selections range from Italian soda to tea.
“This is a good treat for afterclass,” said Will Vaughn, a marketing major from Dallas. “Especially when it’s hotoutside!”
CC’s also has a variety of pastriesand baked goods, such as bagels, scones and muffins. CC’s coffee shop is located on the first floor of the lawcenter and operates Monday through Friday from seven thirty in the morninguntil four o’clock in the afternoon. CC’s Coffee House has 12 other locations in Baton Rouge.
