Baton Rouge rap artists Down Bad aremaking themselves a household name in the local hip-hop arena. After bouncingback from an unfortunate incident where their studio was destroyed in a fireand lost close to a hundred songs, Down Bad Entertainment is looking to gain aspecial place in hip-hop.
Justin Abadie “J Dirty” is aSouthern University student an also the CEO of Down Bad Entertainment. Down BadEntertainment consists of six acts. Down Bad is the only rap group on thelabel, though each artist is considered a solo artist. The group members areDarius Dunn “Terror”, Brandon Cage “Cage”, Kent Jackson “Jr.” and Aaron Kelly “Supaman”. Terror is an18-year-old who has been rapping since the age of nine. Cage who also performs,is a student at Baton Rouge Community College and is the co-owner and producerfor the label. “He is on his way to becoming on of the greatestrapper/producers of all time,” said Abadie. Jr. who is part owner of the label andis a performer as well. “He has a way with words. He can almost paint a picturewith his lyrics. He’s a true artist,” Abadie said. Supaman is the newcomer ofthe group. The label also has Daren Jack “Unique” an R&B singer/rap artiston the label that attends McKinnley High School.
