Suge Knight and Death Row Records was ordered to pay out $5.5 Mil, a judgement supporting a lawsuit filed by former managers for Kurupt, an executive at the label.
Prior to being the president of Death Row, Kurupt was an artist under the regime that included Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg.
The lawsuit stems from a claim by Lamont and Kenneth Brumfield who charge that Suge and the label prevented them from making considerable funds from Kurupt as their artist. In addition, they charge that he was actually plotting to take the artist from them.
In jail since June 27, Suge Knight was recently found guilty of parole violation for hitting a parking valet in Hollywood. He was sentenced to 10 months.
