Who is Chopper

We know of The New No Limit rapper Choppa, but who is this other cat named Chopper? For those who don’t know, Chopper is one of the six people chosen for the MTV network reality series Making the Band. The project was done in conjunction with Sean “P. Diddy” Combs.
MTV’s Making the Band-Part 2 was done P. Diddy’s way. Combs traveled to various cities looking for potential members to make his band, while being televised on MTV. After some were picked, many were let go. He originally wanted five members, but there was something special about one kid that he had to give him a chance to be in the group. That kid was 19-year-old Chopper, a native of New Orleans.
“I wanted to get everybody mad cause I wanted to get people eliminated. I looked like a fool on that show, I mean my attitude and everything,” said Chopper during a Black Entertainment Television interview.
Chopper, a product of the Magnolia Projects, was on his way to becoming what was long expected of him.
Then last year his brother was killed.
“That changed his life. That is part of what drove me to Baltimore, Md. to try out for Making the Band,” said Chopper.
During his interview with BET, when asked what would he have done if he had not been picked he responded, “That whole time sitting up there I’m thinking of my Plan B. My Plan B was that I was going to take the tapes to some record people, to show them that I had talent and I was going to get me a deal somewhere else. I ain’t got the big head, but I’m still confident.”
MTV’s Making the Band-Part 2 is supposed to have a second season. Whether or not the band will become anything, Chopper will definitely get his shine on.
