It’s life…Deal With It

Let me start by saying this will not apply to everyone, but if the shoe fits “WEAR IT!”
I have a few choice words to share with some people on this campus. These words include RESPECT, PATIENCE, APPRECIATION, and PRIDE! Anyone who lacks knowledge about the meaning of these words, refer to Webster.
As I stroll around campus, I continue to hear students and faculty complain about every ‘freakin’ thing. WHY THIS? WHY THAT? People please! Put a sock in it! Everything is not going to go the way you want it to go! ‘WELCOME TO REALITY’ Get over it, deal with it! Now do not take my thoughts personally and please do not get offended, but if you do, you can get over that too. Do not get me wrong, I have done my share of complaining but I have quickly realized it doesn’t accomplish anything.
A few weeks ago I had a chat with some other students about this university. One girl said, ” I’ll tell you what’s wrong with this university, it’s ran inefficiently.” The other girl said, “It’s all about who you know.” Well, guess what folks this is THE REAL WORLD (and I’m not referring to MTV). LIFE is about who you know! The WOLRD is run inefficiently! How about taking pride in yourself and your school. Stop barking at the administration about bull!
If you do not want to learn here, teach here, advise here, clean here, administer here, cut grass and blow leaves here, or what ever it is you do here-LEAVE! If I’m not mistaken, NO ONE is being held hostage! Learn to APPRECIATE and have PATIENCE. Let’s promote the positive things that go on at this institution.
At the SGA “Enough is Enough” Forum, students complained about food, SUPD, out-of-state fees, visitation, and other ridiculous concerns. Now WAIT! Let me pump my brakes! Some students had valid concerns, but this is for the others.
Can someone please tell me what dish the café can cook that is going to be so delicious to feed all these folks? If you don’t like it, don’t eat it! They have plenty of restaurants in Baton Rouge.
The SUPD is not that bad, please give them a break. They cannot be in 10 places at one time! If you have such a big problem, join the force and make it better. But still , as with everything, we do have a few bad apples who just want to drive around all day with their hair done!
Out of state students, please do me a favor. STOP COMPLAINING! If you don’t want to be in Louisiana go back to YOUR STATE! No one asked you to come here! You migrated here so now it’s time to adapt.
If you want to visit your significant other and you stay on a campus with no visitation, just make other arrangements.
Let’s try to be a little more THANKFUL! Some of you need to take your eyeballs out and turn them around! Look at yourself! Complaining won’t change a thing. Count your blessings people. Life is much too short to nag and bicker about non-sense. Take pride in SU, become a part of something!
