DIGEST names ticket winners to Gulf Coast Classic

Jaguar Nation: Two words that bring joy and pride to the eyes and heart of Southern University athletes. Two words that strike fear in the minds of our opponents.
“Most schools are more afraid of our fans than they are of our team,” football head coach Pete Richardson once said.
During Southern’s 35-14 triumph over the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, two students who exemplified the spirit of the Jaguar Nation, were rewarded as winners of the DIGEST Student Spirit Fan Contest, with two free tickets to the Gulf Coast Classic, to be held in Mobile, Alabama, on September 22.
The winners of the tickets were Merlin White, a junior majoring in Political Science and Lauren Jones, a freshman majoring in education.
“Oh my God, thanks…I just love my school,” said White about his spirited behavior at all school events.
There are still six to be given away this week during the Prairie View vs. Southern game. Be reminded that you must find your own means of transportation to Alabama for the game.
