The Theatre Department of Southern University will perform the theatrical play”Here” by Michael Frayn, directed by George Whitfield. The history of the world brings a contemporary young couple together here in an empty room. Performances will be held on October 10-13, 2001 at the Fine Arts Theatre, Hayden Hall at 7:30 pm. The SU Head Start Program are having their Annual Fall Festival on Fri. Oct. 26, 2001 @ 10 a.m. until. The festival will be held at Elton C. Harrison Drive, Bldg. 131. RESEARCH CONFERENCE
The Department of Psychology and Social Work will sponsor the 3rd Annual Social and Behavioral Science Student Research Conference. The purpose of the conference is to provide students the opportunity to present research papers and to increase the number of social and behavioral science majors that conduct research papers and present them at professional conferences. All students in the social sciences are encouraged to participate. Registration forms must be submitted by October 26, 2001. The conference is scheduled for November 9, 2001. APPLICATIONS
The School of Nursing will be accepting applications for admission for the spring 2002 semester. The deadline for submitting applications is November 1, 2001. All students must meet the following criteria: 1) have a gpa of 2.6 or above, 2) submission of ACT/SAT scores, and 3) completion of all courses listed in the first three semesters of the nursing curriculum plan with a minimum grade of “C”. AEROBIC INSTRUCTOR NEEDED
The Intramural Sports Dept. is in need of an aerobic instructor. The instructor must be a student at SU and has an unmet financial aid need. The instructor will be paid through college work-study.
