In her 300th game as a head coach, Southern’ University’s Sandy Pugh earned her 200th career victory by routing Southwestern Athletic Conference rival Grambling State Lady Tigers 75-46.
Red-shirt senior Fredrieka Lewis enjoyed her best game of the year scoring 20 points, grabbing 11 rebounds, blocking four shots and stealing away two passes. This was her first double-double game since February 13, 2006 versus Mississippi Valley.
Red-shirt freshman Freda Allen finished the game with 11 rebounds and sevens points while senior Indi Johnson, and junior Diedra Jackson each with 10 points.
The victory was coach Pugh’s 124th at Southern in her 130th SWAC game. It also was her 215th game at Southern.
