A Howard University freshman remains hospitalized after he was shot in the 700 block of Gresham Place early Monday, Oct. 13.
Darius Butler was taken to the nearby Washington Hospital Center for treatment of his injuries and remained in stable condition Friday.
Butler is an accounting major and native of D.C.
According to a Howard Campus Police Department safety alert, several Howard students were walking in the 700 block of Gresham Place when confronted by an armed gunman.
The students began to run away from the armed gunman at which time several gunshots were heard.
Butler was struck by gunfire and transported to the hospital.
