Forms that allow out-of-state students to vote in the upcoming elections are due today.
The forms, which allow students to cast their votes in early ballots today, or during the November 4 regular election are required to return the forms, located in both the SGA and Men’s Federation offices in the Smith-Brown Memorial Union back in.
The forms, provided by Student Programs, require registered student’s home and current addresses.
The newest option is an advantage that Helen Rutledge, coordinator of international and commuter students, encourages students to take advantage of.
“We want to get the word out for students who can’t go home but want to vote,” she said.
“The form will ensure that Southern students will have a voice in the upcoming elections.”
Rutledge also urged students to turn in the form no later than today, or they will have to return home to vote.
In order to vote in Baton Rouge, students must turn the completed form in today.
Students are also advised that today is the last day for early voting.
