Beginning Spring 2009, Southern University will offer book vouchers to students who are eligible to receive financial assistance. Students must be registered for classes for the spring semester. Students must request a voucher from the Office of Financial Aid. The book vouchers can be used to purchase course materials including textbooks and supplies. Students may request book vouchers in amounts not to exceed $500. there will be an Early Bird Sign Up beginning Nov. 17 through Dec. 12 for the spring in Seymour Gym from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. until Dec. 12. Students must bring a valid picture ID. Book vouchers will be able for pick up Jan. 5 through Jan. 23 and will be accepted by the Southern University Bookstore until Jan. 30. Cash refunds will not be issued for any purchases made through the Book Voucher Program.
