The annual springfest Greek Show, sponsored by the Pan Hellenic Council, will be held Friday, April 25 at 7:30 p.m. in the F. G. Clark Activity Center announced Twyana Cain, interim director of student programs. Cain said that the admission is $10 per person and the event is open to the public.
The interim director also stated that “there will be no pre-sell, tickets will be purchased at the door only.”
According to Terral Jackson, director of the Smith-Brown Memorial Student Union, the performing greeks are the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Iota Phi Beta, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity.
“I can’t wait to see the Sigmas. In the past few greek shows, they’ve been creative, energetic and fun to watch,” said senior nursing major Chantly Crump from St. Joseph.
Also performing are the Gold, N Bluez Dancers, the Southern University’s dance team; Sigma Alpha Iota, an international singing music fraternity for women, will render the national anthem and the Northside High Drill Quad from Lafayette.
The high school drill quad will be performing because “They participated in the Up Til’ Dawn’s step show in November, and they won first place. They asked if they could perform in the springfest greek show,” said Cain.
“This is my first springfest greek show. I hope the springfest greek show is up to par with the homecoming greek show,” said Dallas native Bradford Walker, who is a freshmen majoring in electronic engineering and technology.
