Another year, another Student Government Association and Miss Southern election has passed where there were many winners and losers. From tedious studying of the SGA constitution for the exam, to the midnight hours posting campaign signs and posters, the fight to become a distinguished representative of the student body had begun.
Many campaign supporters pitched tents and gave out trinkets, hoping to sway the minds of potential voters.
The packed debates showcased the candidates’ ability to answer the concerns from the student body, but they weren’t without a fair share of mudslinging.
And as Jaguars stormed the booth to cast their votes making their voices known, many dreams were realized and crushed when the results were reviled to the crowded hall just outside of the cotillion ballroom.
