Since then, she has achieved and collected several leadership titles like Miss 6th grade, Miss 8th grade, sixth grade female class representative and eight grade class president. As she advanced in high school, her leadership only continued- serving as freshman vice president, junior class president and is now currently the president of the Senior Beta Club.
Her academic achievements shine just as bright as her crown. All while doing so, Dumas has thrived as a student athlete. From 2021-2023, she competed as a varsity track member, earning her title as Outstanding Female Newcomer, and helped her team achieve a third-place finish at the state meet. She also shows her versatility as a performer and athlete as she was a varsity Dancing Doll from 2021-2024.
When asked about her plans after high-school, Dumas intends to take her talent into a higher education. Her desire is to major in broadcast journalism/public relations and to minor in marketing. She believes her achievements and success is a testament to her faith, stating that “Every achievement has been made possible through the grade of God.”
The coronation was a true reflection of Southern Lab’s culture and community. Royalty from pre-kindergarten through 12th was presented, while the audience listened to sounds of the Suhur and Friends Ensemble. The Mistress and Master of Ceremonies kept the energy lively as Southern Lab students, alumni, and family gathered in celebration.
