The Southern University Political Science Association (PSA) held a Political Science Organizational Fair on February 11 to showcase the different clubs that allow students on campus to exercise their political voice.
Some of the clubs represented were the Southern University Chapter of NAACP, the International Relations Club, Pi Sigma Alpha, the political science honor society and both The College Republicans and Democrats.
“The purpose of the organizational fair is to inform students on political activism and make them aware of issues that effect the political climate of the world around them,” said Kayla Patterson, fair organizer.
Many students took the time to visit the fair.
“This is a way for me to get politically active,” said Nikia Bell, a freshmen political science major form Donaldsonville.
PSA also has plans to sponsor a social where students will have the opportunity to discuss current events and a Social Science Career Fair.
