“Shaking things up with hit shows such as “The Parker’s,” “Girlfriends” and “One on One,” UPN has become famous for using the non-traditional sitcom as its predecessor.
These shows are successful because they are geared towards viewers that are often forgotten African-Americans.
This season UPN has brought a new show full of family flare.
Depicting the life of an African-American family, “All of Us” is inspired by the domestic adventures of entertainment superstars Will and Jada Pinkett —Smith, according to UPN.
Will and Jada are executive producers for the television show that airs on Tuesdays at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT.
“There’s nothing anywhere that reflects anything that deals with divorce, nothing for kids to watch, that they could say. That’s how I feel,” Pinkett-Smith said in USA Today.
In response to these feelings, “All of Us” is a replica of some of the events Will and Jada have experienced.
“All of Us” stars Duane Martin (“Out all Night”) as Robert James, the father of Robert James Jr. who is played by Kahamani Griffin (“Daddy Day Care”).
Robert James Jr.’s mother is Neesee James played by Lisa Raye (Player’s Club) Robert James fianc e, Tia Jewel is played by Elise Neal (“The Hughleys”).
The confusion experienced by most American families and extended families is brought to life with humor, mixed with reality on “All of Us.”
