A stylish dresser, hard worker and most importantly, a serious teacher. These words describe, Dr. Charles Vincent. Vincent was chosen by his students to be this week’s “Digest Faculty Member of the Week.” He has been a professor in the history department for 27 years.
“Dr. Charles Vincent is one of those teachers who work hard at being a positive role model for his students. He is always presenting his students with tidbits on how to not only be better students, but better people. He willingly lends his personal possessions to students who seem to be interested in learning more about our history,” said Niqueta Williams, a senior majoring in political science from Bastrop. Greatly loved and appreciated by his students, he goes over the call of duty to make sure they succeed.
“Every year I lend out two or three of my textbooks to my students, in hopes that I can motivate them to do their work,” said Vincent. “That’s all I ask is that my students do their work.”
