Come and join the Southern UniversityInterdenominational Gospel Choir. Bible Study and rehearsals are Wednesdays at6:30 p.m. taught by Rev. Rodney Wooten at the Wesley Foundation located next tothe Villa Apartments across from the SU football practice field. Importantupcoming events this fall include a live CD recording, halftime gospel showwith the SU band, fall concert with SWAC schools, outreach ministry and 2003National Love Conference. The SU Beauty Salon is now open in the SmithBrown Memorial Union across from the computer lab. Stylist Mark Kaufman alongwith two other stylists specializes in relaxers, cuts, roller wraps and eyebrowarches. $30 relaxers special until October 10. A braid technician will be onsite. 7th Annual DoE EPSCoR & LS-LAMP StudentResearch Conference will be held November 23 at the Sheraton Hotel in NewOrleans. An important component of the conference is the student oral andposter scientific competitions. These competitions will display the researchand presentation skills of minority, undergraduate scholars in science,technology, engineering and mathematics.
