Authorities are searching for suspects involved in three separate incidents that occurred on Southern University campus this week.
– Monday, November 10 at 12:30 a.m. – A resident of Camille Shade Hall lit her undergarments on fire in a trash can in the third floor lobby. Residents were evacuated from the building after fire detectors were set off.
– Tuesday, November 11 at 7 p.m. – Someone held a lighter to the sprinkler system in Higgins Hall disrupting evening classes and causing damage to offices in the Department of Public Policy on the fourth floor.
– The weekend of November 7-9 – Someone flooded the lab area by stuffing paper in the sinks. According to Ella Kelley, interim chairperson of the chemistry department, carpet and floor tiles sustained damaged.
“When I find out who committed these crimes I will recommend suspension or expulsion for destroying property.” said Robert Bennett, director of student life.If you have information on any of these crimes call 771-3784.
