Leonard “Lenny” Watts was shot and killed in a carjacking in East Point, Ga. on Tuesday, February 18.
East Point police are searching for two men wanted in connection with the murder.
The two suspects killed 25-year-old Watts of Kansas City, while stealing his green 1996 GMC Yukon truck, according to East Point police Captain Pat Boyce.
Watts was killed while loading his vehicle after visiting a friend.
According to the Southern University Registrar’s Office, Watts, also known as “KC” was last enrolled in school during the 2002 spring semester.
He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Leonard and Elizabeth Watts; daughter, Kilen Watts; maternal grandmother, Fannie Simmons; and paternal grandmother, Bernice Bullock.
Funeral services were held Monday, February 18 in Watts’ hometown of Kansas City.
