Although football season is long behind us and the thought of a new and improved season is well anticipated, members of the Jaguar Nation need not forget the accomplishments and accolades that are continuously delivered to Jaguar football players.
One in particular is the selection of junior cornerback Lenny Williams. Williams has earned a selection on the prestigious Associated Press Division I-AA All-America Second Team.
“I appreciate the honor. I believe that it was because of the experience and the exposure I received in the three years that I played here,” said Williams. “I guess that all of the hard work is starting to pay off.”
The humble 6’0″, 185-lb. defensive lineman, who also made the 2002 All-Southwestern Athletic Conference First Team, had 72 combined tackles and six interceptions last season.
