The Southern University Jaguars bowling squad are at the end of a wonderful bowling season. They are going to the Southwestern Athletic Conference Bowling Championship with the record of 8-0 in the western division. They are also the reigning champions of the SWAC.
Last year, the championship ended with Southern and Texas Southern University. This year, TSU did not make the cut and the team with the next best record to Southern is Alabama A& M. This year ‘s tournament will be held in Jackson, Miss. at the Cotton Bowling Lanes.
The tournament will consist of the top two teams from the SWAC eastern division which are Jackson State and Alabama A& M and two teams from the western division which are Grambling State University and Southern University. The two day tournament will start at 10 a.m. on Saturday and will continue 9:00 a.m. Sunday.
