Spring Fashions: It’s Getting Hot!

Summer is approaching but is your wardrobe ready to experience the turmoil of this year’s heat?
Summer is the hottest season of the year, but is it hot yet? As of now it is still cool and sometimes breezy, so please be mindful of the weather. Just because it may be hot outside doesn’t mean it is time to sport your summer outfits.
Many of you are too anxious to pull out flip-flops and tanks. Remember that because it is cool outside, ashy skin is lurking. If you are trying to get into the sandal game, get your feet done and keep the lotion handy. Ashiness and “Flinstone feet” are not a pretty picture.
The style we have all seen this season is the throwback, which is becoming popular for both men and women.
The jersey dresses are cute, but jersey’s are a form of athletic apparel and should be worn accordingly. Don’t wear your jersey dress with some Monolo Balanik Timberlands and think you have a club outfit. It is athletic apparel, wear them with some G-Nikes or something of that nature.
Now on to the topic of wearing belts. You can wear them even when there are no belt loops and still be fashionable. In order to wear a belt, you should first have a waist line. Don’t wear a belt if you have to go looking for your waistline to find it.
Sunshades are a must to block the summer heat. But remember what they are called SHADES. If it is 7:00 p.m. the sun is not showing up any time soon. So if there is no sun, don’t wear them!
Summer is a time for swimming and most importantly swimsuits. The bathing suit top and booty shorts are for the poolside not the social arenas.
Men don’t think you were forgotten. Think two words…Muscle Shirts! Some of you should be banned from even owning them. If you know you have never eaten your spinach don’t try to go there.
Spandex is not and will never be in style during the summer. If it is not under control on its own, spandex will not work as your girdle. So your idea of wearing those stretch capris and a tube top will not do you any justice.
If it will not fit into it…. Please do not force it.
While we are talking about undergarments. Please again notice what I called them: undergarmets. That means they should be worn under your clothes. There is no need for you to be sitting down and I can tell what brand of tighty whites you are wearing. Don’t you know it’s a secret and Victoria wants you to keep it?
Remember when you are leaving the house this summer, if you, your friends and your pets frown up at the way you look in the mirror… everyone else will do the same.
