Welcome Back!

I’m happy that you all have returned safely for the Spring Semester of 2002. For all first-semester students, welcome to Southern University. The Student Government Association will work hard this semester to address as many issues as possible.
It will be our primary goal to correct as many ills that are plaguing our campus environment. The first major event will be a “hot” one as we will host our “Enough is Enough” Student Debate. This open-mic forum will address issues such as meal plan options, campus security, traffic and parking, dormitory maintenance, dormitory visitation rights, online voting for elections, and several others.
The debate will be held Wednesday, January 30, 2002 at 7 p.m. in Moore Hall. Please come and voice your concerns! I vowed that the SGA would take on “Service Comes First” as the overall mission of the organization.
I promise to keep that as our #1 priority. Feel free to call, e-mail, or visit the office with any concerns opinions. Once again, welcome back and I hope you’re ready for what is promised to be a Spring Semester of excitement.
