Y’all really disappoint me

I had several issues on my mind concerning all the garbage going on in the world we live in (i.e. the psychopathic, serial sniper in Maryland; the idiot president, his stupid war, how he just recently realized that there are black people in Brazil; and the ten-year-old kids that beat the 36-year-old man to death, etc.).
I was going to discuss my personal views on these topics, hoping to shed a little bit of my light on the subject by examining these issues through the lens of the “moral microscope.” That was the level I was on when I woke up this morning.
But you know what I realized as I walked around campus trying to get y’all to fill out a simple “Speak Out” questionnaire to get your opinions about issues that affect y’all and are on your minds?
You know what I realized as I tried to give Y’ALL a little limelight by giving Y’ALL a chance to express how Y’ALL feel about things in a section dedicated to Y’ALL in YOUR newspaper, but MOST of Y’ALL didn’t want to do it? I realized, WHAT’S THE POINT, for one thing! I realized that 90% of the people on this campus and in this world don’t even care about at least saying a few words that might make a difference in the society that we all live in.
Do you know how discouraging it was as I walked up to various people on this campus, HANDING them an opportunity to say something that they believe might change the way someone thinks or something negative that someone does or a condition that they feel needs to be different, only to be looked at as if I’m a crackhead asking them to borrow their car keys? Do you know what I realized about some, nah scratch that-MOST of Y’ALL females when y’all told me that you felt STRONGLY about the issue on the “Speak Out” form and would fill one out and take a picture, but your ” hair was messed up” so you didn’t want to be in the paper? I realized how ignorant, shallow, and superficial y’all can be!
This little experience made me understand things about people in this society and basically this messed up world in general. It made me understand why, first of all, we have one of the DUMBEST presidents in office right now and are on the verge of WWIII as we speak, and why we have so many corrupt, elected officials in office RUNNING THE COUNTRY!!! Maybe the voters’ hair was “messed up” when it was time to vote.
The ones OF US who have voting power, SPEAK OUT POWER, and have ample opportunity to do their part to voice their opinions by doing something so quick and simple fail to utilize the opportunity and let things just go with the flow. Because of people like most of Y’ALL , we’re living in chaos now.
This editorial doesn’t apply to everyone because some of you all showed love and gladly voiced your opinions and many have done so in the past. YOU ALL are greatly appreciated, and I wish there were more people in the world like YOU ALL!!!
