With all the “Bling, Bling’ depicted through the entertainment media, one can only wonder why so many people are on the “paper chase”. The paper simplifies money, and the chase exemplifies that everyone is out for money or out of money. Yet, this chase seems elusive. The media glorifies all the diamonds, liquor and money that can be made through what seems to be an effortless attempt.
From small children to adults, many are mislead to think that chasing paper is the best bet for happiness. Often people turn to criminal activities, exotic dancing, among other things rather than working a regular nine to five.
The paper chase boggles the mind. It is more like having the Midas complex, where no matter how much you have you still want more. Everything touched, turns to gold. Paper chasing causes friends, families, and significant others to turn on each other just for a dollar.
The question is does anyone think to save for future security instead of gaining momentary satisfaction? It’s like your mother use to say, “Money does not grow on trees” and with that saying people should understand that the paper chase can only last but so long.
No matter how easy, hustling does not last and the body ages if one dances. Fancy cars and nice jewelry does not show how life will be down the road-it only shows the efforts of paper chasing in the present. People need to think beyond the “Bling” and save so that the paper chase will be the reason for their future security.
It is true that some people save the money they receive from paper chasing but for the most part many do not because there is always something new on the market. Future security should be the primary incentive for anyone who does not want to work past retirement and should want their child in the future to have the best in life.
No matter how the paper is made, one should remember to chase for future security or else the paper will end up chasing them.
