After winning the Southwestern Athletic Conference championship title, the Jaguars must now prepare to do battle with the Lady Buffs of the University of Colorado (21-9) out of the Big 12 Conference.
Tenth ranked Colorado, making their tenth NCAA Tournament appearance, will enter the Coors Events Conference Center coming off a 58-56 upset by the Iowa State University Cyclones, March 6 in Kansas City, Mo.
The Lady Buffs led 56-55 going into the last seconds of the Big 12 quarterfinal match up. Angie Welle of ISU rebounded Lindsey Wilson’s miss and scored with three seconds left to secure the win.
Tera Bjorklund led the Lady Buffs with 13 points, Linda Lappe contributed 11 points.
The Jaguars (26-4) will ride into Boulder, Colo., still riding high on their Southwestern Athletic Conference title and 69-56 defeat of Alabama State University.
Tip-off is set for 6:45 p.m. mountain standard time, 7:45 p.m. here in Baton Rouge, Friday, March 15.

The University of Colorado, the regional host will also entertain Louisiana State and Santa Clara’s first-round contest. That game is set for 10:30 p.m. CST.
