This past Sunday the New Orleans Saints had their season opener
against the Oakland Raiders, but rather than an exciting season opener it’s pretty much like the Raiders came in and ended the enthusiasm for the Saints’ whole season. You would think that with the new contract extension for Quarter Back Drew Brees, he would solidify the win, but that’s not how it happened. Even with Brees breaking records in Saints history by passing a 98 Yard pass to Brandin Cooks, The Saints still could not pull through to capture the win losing by a dreadful one point. They are ranked #2 in the NFC South trailing behind The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but there is still hope for them to come back from the 0-1 deficient in their upcoming game to 1-1, only if they bring some of the momentum from game one. Brees was pushed back into the 3rd All-time passing leading to touchdowns list in Game 1 surpassing Tom Brady. Another star player on this Saints lineup that can help secure their win against the New York Giants this upcoming game is Brandin Cooks who in this first game home opener caught a 15-yard pass from Brees in the 2nd Quarter. Then went into the 3rd Quarter to also catch a 98-yard pass from Brees, which was that outstanding pass of the night that I mentioned earlier. But for all of the star things to go into the next game the coaching staff has to go into the next game with the mentality of winning more than the team wants to win. Sean Payton, head coach, and Pete Carmichael, Assistant Offensive Coach, need to have the same chemistry in finding what is going to work right for this Saint’s Offensive because by Payton putting him in charge of the offensive line this game everything was falling into play until the last stretch giving them the loss. So if they get all of these things together then they can probably squeeze through this next game with a win, and bring that winning ball back to New Orleans and make there fans very
happy. I personally believe that the Saints need to go into this week with a different attitude than last week or something similar to it but with a couple of changes. But by me being an Atlanta Falcons fan I’m hoping that they lose this game on Sunday against the Giants and then the next week they play against the best team in the NFL the Falcons. But hey you may never know they may just surprise me this upcoming weekend and win against the Giants, but I have a good feeling by me being a falcons fan they will be 1-2 after that game on Monday September 26, 2016. So make sure you tune in on Sunday to watch the New Orleans Saints win or lose this game you can watch it on Fox at 12:00 P.M. CTS (Central Standard Time)
