The H1N1 Flu vaccine will be administered on the Baton Rouge campus today through Wednesday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day in the F.G. Clark Activity Center. Please enter through portals D, E, and F.
All person under the age of 18 will need a consent form signed by a parent or guardian before the vaccine can be given. The consent form is available on the SU Web page.
The vaccine will ONLY be given to the “Priority Groups” as outlined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Those persons include:
* Pregnant women
* People who live with or care for children younger than 6 months of age
* Health care and emergency medical service workers
* Students through 24 years of age
* Person age 25 through 64 years who have certain health conditions such as HIV, diabetes, and heart or lung disease
Those persons that are pregnant or have a serious medical condition must have a permission slip from their physician to take the vaccination.
