Baton Rouge Hip-Hop and R&B artist will be in full affect for radio station Max 94.1’s “End of Summer Jam 2007” on September 23 in Southern University’s F.G. Clark Activity Center.
The yearly concert will also commemorate the 10th anniversary of Max 94.1 making it the biggest concert to hit the city according to the radio station.
While many top superstar rap artist like Soulja Boy who’s currently topping the charts with is smash hit “Crank That” performing at the concert; Baton Rouge rappers of Trill Entertainment that includes Lil Boosie, Webbie and Foxx of “Wipe Me Down” fame will be headlining.
Southern computer science alumni and one half of rap group Young Chilla and J-John Jamaal Johnson will be performing their local hit “Break yo Back” from their album “Headed 2 the Top”.
“It’s great to perform in front of my home,” said Johnson. “Get ready for a real show with real music.”
Max Minelli, whose hit “Fresh to Def You Know” will also be performing.
“To get to this point has been 13 years in the making,” said Minelli. “It feels good that many people have love for me and my music.”
Underground Baton Rouge legend and the starter of many Baton Rouge artist including Lil’ Boosie and Minelli C-Loc, real name Steven Carrell be in attendance.
“I enjoy it, I always enjoy developing talents as well as performing,” said Carrell.
Tickets are currently available through Ticketmaster the concert starts promptly at 2 p.m.
