Funeral Services for LaValle Trumaine “Smooth” Johnson, 20, a member of the Southern University track & field program, will be held on Tuesday, November 27th, at 11 a.m., at Embrew Baptist Church in the Buffalo Community in his hometown of Woodville, Miss., (Highway 563).
Johnson was killed Wednesday night, November 21st, in a two-car accident on Highway 33, south of Crosby, Miss.
He attended Wilkinson County High School until his sophomore year when he transferred to Wilkinson County Christian Academy and received his diploma. Upon graduating from WCCA, he received a scholarship to run track at Southern University.
Visitation was held yesterday, Monday, November 26th, from 11 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., at Anderson Funeral Home in Gloster, Miss.
The Southern Jaguar Family extends its prayers and condolences to Carl and Kathalean Johnson on the loss of their son.
