The Southern University volleyball team presents the 22nd Annual Volleyball Invitational Tournament this Friday and Saturday, Oct. 13 and 14.
“With so much that happened last year most people don’t realize that last years tournament was cancelled due to the devastation of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita,” said head coach Nathaniel Denu. “It is with a great deal of pleasure to have the opportunity to host this tournament.”
“It is always an honor to display an exceptional group of talented women athletes,” Denu said.
Each team will receive tournament t-shirts for each participant. There will be a seven-player All-Tournament team and a Most Valuable Player award. Also the first and second place teams will receive trophies. The head coach of the winning team will receive the coach of the tourney award.
