A Southern University student was taken away by ambulance after collapsing and hyperventilating during a campus prayer meeting.
The young man was lying on the cafeteria floor located in the student union when an ambulance and a fire truck arrived.
After an initial examination by the two attending paramedics, one stated the student had hyperventilated because of stress. She also said his sugar level was normal and his heart was fine.
On Friday, September 14 at noon, the campus was holding a multi-denominational prayer meeting for the September 11 attacks when the student took ill.
