When they thought it was an impossible idea…it came to pass. When everyone supported it, yet no one truly believed it could really happen…it became a reality.
The Human Jukebox appearance in the Homecoming Parade not only marked an end to a 32 year “no-show,” it signified the birth of a complete Homecoming — reminiscent of the way it use to be.
I would personally like to thank the director and administrative leaders of the band who made the students’ dream come true. The students really appreciate your consideration and thoughtfulness. I truly believe that God has a way of making the best out of any situation.
Although it may be politically incorrect, my church sermon on last Sunday confirmed that it is best to do what is spiritually correct.
The book of Proverbs explains that there is no shame in the wisdom of God. Therefore, regardless of the wrath that I/or the Student Government Association may receive for simply voicing the concerns of thousands of students, I firmly believe that God has ordained everything to happen for a reason.
On behalf of the students, the university, and the community, my heart thanks the band members and directors for a job well done.
