The Alpha Sigma chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated along with the Alpha Tau Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated presented a check for the amount of $500 to the Baton Rouge United Way.
The money is the result of a fashion show sponsored by the two organizations held November 1 in the F.G. Clark Activity Center.
“We felt this would be a good way to raise money and entertain the students. This way the students would be giving and having a good time,” said Channing Donald, member of the Alpha Sigma chapter of KAPsi.
The money was donated through Bank One and will be given to the Baton Rouge United Way. The money will be donated to the families of Emergency Response team members and Firefighters who lost loved ones in the September 11 attacks.
The members of Delta Sigma Theta and Kappa Alpha Psi would like to thank all the students who came out and supported the event.
