A 16-year-old teen was fatally shot amid Bayou Classic crowd early Sunday morning.
According to Sgt. Paul Accardo, New Orleans Police Department Spokesman, Brandon Antoine was shot in the 100th block of Bourbon Street.
“The killing was not connected to football revelers and no one else was injured,” said Accardo.
Antoine was taken to Charity Hospital where he died a short time later.
According to witnesses, Antoine was arguing with another young man who pulled out a gun and shot him.
“The alleged gunman fled the scene into the crowd on Canal Street,” said Accardo.
The gunman has been described as a black male in his late teens or early twenties, five feet five inches tall, 155 lbs., and wearing a navy blue pullover with “Dirty South” written on it.
