REGISTRATION NOTICE

As the fall 2001 term comes to a close, students are asked to check any outstanding balances owed to Southern University. Any unpaid balances that have not been paid, students will not receive their final grades or transcripts. Also, graduating seniors will not receive their diplomas. Students are encouraged to resolve these matters before the holiday break. Payments can be made at the Cashier’s Office, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
In addition to unpaid balances for the fall 2001 semester, all Billing Statements for spring 2002 have been mailed to all students who participated in early registration. Upon receipt, students are asked to sign and return their billing statement with the applicable payment by January 8, 2002. A special post office lock box has been established by the university bank to accept registration payments. Payments should be mailed to

The lock box established by the university requires all payments to be mailed to the New Orleans address. The address listed is not an error. A pre-addressed envelope has been included with the billing statement. Students are asked not to send certified mail to the above address.
In the event, billing statements are not mailed to the university bank; students can bring their billing statement to the Cashier’s Office, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in order to complete the registration process. The cashier’s office will be closed from December 17, 2001 through January 2, 2002.
If payment has not been received by January 8, 2002, classes scheduled will be subject to deletion. If class schedules are deleted, students must repeat the entire registration process beginning Wednesday, January 9, 2002.
Due to renovations to the F.G. Clark Activity Center, registration for the spring 2002 term will be held in several key areas on campus. Therefore, in order to avoid long lines, mail or bring your billing statement to the cashier’s office by January 8, 2002.
